Rent the Runway: What You Need to Know

I have recently become a Rent the Runway Representative and have been raving about it to all of my friends and family. A few have asked what Rent the Runway (RTR) actually is, so I have decided to write a blog post about it!

What it is:

Rent the Runway is a company that lets you rent clothing and accessories for any occasion (special or casual) for a fraction of the cost! It is a very easy process as I have outlined below. Take a look and if you have any questions, leave them in the comments below!

How to rent:

Step 1:

Sign up for a free account by clicking here. By signing up, you will also receive $30 off your rental!

Step 2:

Browse all of your rental options: formal dresses, casual apparel, handbags, and jewelry. You can browse on the Rent the Runway website or even download the app!

Step 3:

Create lists so that you can keep track of your favorites for your different occasions. For example, I have lists titled “Senior Ball”, “Casual”, “Graduation”, and “Accessories”. As you find new favorites, add them to the appropriate list so that you can easily find them again!

Step 4:

Once you are ready to rent for your event, select your desired dates, a backup size of the item, and a second backup style (all included in the rental fee). Be sure to read the reviews to get an idea of how sizing for that piece is.

Step 5:

Your rentals will ship out to you and after you rental period is up (usually 4 days), you can drop off your rental at a nearby Rent the Runway store or take it to your local UPS where you ship back the item(s) with a pre-paid label given to you in your rental package.

It’s that easy!

Be environmentally (and wallet) friendly by renting with Rent the Runway!
